Bumblebee Heart Kids Craft

Older children can practice their cutting skills making the hearts for this craft. Younger children can enjoy creating with one basic shape to make a bumblebee heart.

What you need:

• Yellow, black, red construction paper
• Scissors
• Black crayon
• Glue
• Marker (optional)

What you do:

1. Cut out one large (1/4 page), and two small hearts from yellow constrction paper. Cut one medium (1/2 size of lg yellow heart) and two very small (1/3 size of small yellow hearts) hearts, and two antennae from black construction paper. Cut one narrow medium heart from red construction paper.
2. Colour black stripes on large yellow heart.
3. Cut red heart in half and glue onto large yellow heart for wings.
4. Glue small yellow hearts onto medium black heart to make a face with eyes. Glue very small black hearts inside small yellow hearts. Glue antennae onto the bumps of medium black heart.
5. Glue head onto body.
6. Optional-Flip bumblebee over and write a note to your Valentine:
   You're as sweet as honey....Be Mine!
