Paper Bag Easter Treat Bunny Craft
Here's a new take on the traditional Easter basket. Some paper bags, a cottonball, a pompom, and some paper easily transform into a bunny.
What you need:
- 2 paper bags
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Glue
- Scissors
- Markers
- 2 Popsicle Sticks
- 1 small pom pom (nose)
- 1 cotton ball (tail)
- 1 sheet construction paper the color of the paint
- 1 sheet pink construction paper
- Ribbon
- Tissue paper or newspaper (stuffing)
What you do:
- Paint one entire paper pag and the bottom 1/4 of the other paper bag. Allow to dry (use a large jar or tall container to help hold bags up while they dry).
- Stuff partially painted bag with tissue paper and Easter treats. Slide the other bag over top of the suffed bag.
- Cut out two ears and four paws from the corresponding color of construction paper. Cut out two pink inner ears from the pink construction paper. Glue the pink parts to the ears and glue one popsicle stick to the back of each ear (this will help the ears to stand up).
- Glue cotton ball to back of bunny for a tail, glue on ears, paws, eyes, and pompom nose.
- Draw on any extra details such as a mouth and whiskers.
- Tie a ribbon around the bunny's neck with a sign to explain how to get the treats out.
